AA and US Filing Today

Attached above is a Motion To Compel that American and US Airways just filed with the court hearing the DOJ’s lawsuit. The title of the motion really speaks for the issue:

 
During the lawsuit process our antitrust lawyers requested documents from the DOJ that the Dept. used to justify approving past airline mergers. Hearing or seeing nothing from the DOJ about the request, our legal team filed the Motion to Compel this morning. Bloomberg (see below) has already reported on the motion and you will see other news articles throughout the day. Thank you. 
 
Sept. 20 (Bloomberg) -- American Airlines and US Airways Group Inc. are seeking Justice Department documents related to past U.S. approvals of airline mergers. The airlines made the request in a filing in Washington federal court in the Justice Department’s lawsuit seeking to block their proposed merger.
